IDMSS app for iPhone/iPad to access Dahua ptz camera?

Hi,

I am interested in the Dahua PTZ cameras. One of my requirements is to access the PTZ camera thru iPhone and iPad. Has anyone had any experience with Dahua’s mobile app like IDMSS? Good? Bad?

I don't have any PTZ, however I see that all these "controls" are available on the iDMSS Plus application. Aside from that, since the latest updates to the iDMSS Plus (eg. push notification, playback etc), I am very happy with it!

Which camera are you using if you don’t mind I am asking?
 
I use my iPad daily to control Dahua PTZ's. It works pretty good. It works better than gDMSS for my android.

Good to hear. Are you using IDMSS Plus? Does your PTZ camera have IR? If so, does the camera adjust the intensity of IR while zooming? I have seen a cheap Chinese PTZ camera with IR that overexposed the subjects nearby. Basically, a person within 15 fees from camera gets washed out by IR and the face becomes unrecognizable.

One more question.. can you use your mobile app IDMSS to create presets for your ptz camera? Or you need to use a web browser to create presets?
 
I am using the iDMSSHD Lite for the iPad.

IR- Yes, dahua does a good job with the IR, at times it can be to bright but not often, the ultra line has a smart IR option.

I just tried and I was unable to set the preset with the app but I am able to go to the presets I have set up. There may be a way to set them but I dont mess with it to much except to PTZ.

You can log into the camera from safari, (no live view) and set the presets when you get the view you want in iDMSS.
