Images Compressed in Mobile After 5.5.6.18 Update

I Just notice that my camera images in the mobile app are compressed horizontally after the 5/5/2022 update. The thumbnails appear normal, as do the images in the BI app on my desktop server. Has anyone else noticed this. I haven't spent a lot of time troubleshooting, and am investigating how to correct it.

Hmm. How many cameras do you have. Are all of them affected?

Blue Iris recently changed something to make web server streaming honor a particular "scale to fill" option:

It is a setting in BI's group layout editor.

Edit Layout is this pencil button to the right of the group selection dropdown list: 1651772316478.png


With Edit Layout mode enabled, you can right click a camera and choose Aspect > Scale to fill. I believe the goal of the recent change was to make the web-served video streams honor that flag. Possibly that is the root of your problem.

I have 5 cameras and all of them were affected. This was affecting the images only in the mobile app.

I noticed the same thing, but updated since then and is no longer doing that with version 5.5.6.20.
