On some cameras there is a scale to adjust the sensitivity in the IVS of the camera. How does a person adjust the sensitivity of the PTZ5A4K-25X? Maybe I'm just missing it.

I'm still playing with making the PTZ more sensitive. Apparently what I did wasn't in the right direction. It missed some vehicles this morning. Back to the drawing board I guess.
There is an option at SMD to set it to low/medium/high. Did you try to increase?
Also there is an threshold for the PTZ tracking size. Try to decrease. I noticed that it indeed is not so sensitive as you would expect. Dont have an PTZ live now so not able to look into it now.

SMD is a poor alternative to IVS . Stick with IVS
On sensitivity, the primary setting is the Tracking size. I find 30-40 to be best on the PTZ's I have (not your model). It takes some experimenting

I had that exact scenario with tripwire and intrusion, but when I added fast moving, it helped make it better. I don't know why fast moving would do it, but it reacts much better now.
