And with lightning, which is ESD, the CAT cable doesn't have to be coiled up...just stretch a hundred feet of it overhead between buildings and watch the shit hit the fan with a nearby strike. With lightning as fierce as it is in my neck of the woods that is exactly why wireless layer 2 transparent bridges have been my go-to means of getting Internet from the house out to the barn/shed and remote building camera video back to the house.
