Pulling my weight
I found this excellent NodeJS module for interacting with Dahua cameras here:

I'd prefer to use Python though. It looks easy enough to port that NodeJS module, and the Dahua HTTP API looks pretty user-friendly, but I'm surprised something doesn't already exist for Python. Or maybe it does and I'm just not finding it?
