Hi all,
Greg here,
New to the site and hope to learn a few tricks from you lot here .I love messing about with network cameras etc.
I have a home dvr camera set up with 8 cameras including ptz cameras linked to a rural wireless internet link which is the only available broadband service in my area and can access all these with Ipad, smartphones, notebooks etc remotely.Using Swann software and H264 Dvr with no issues.
I am currently trying to operate my new p2p ip cameras plugged in via Ethernet cable to a new 4G Huawei CPE B593-22 router with Sim card in my mothers house
I access the cameras on the Lan without any trouble but when I access the cameras remotely on Ipad I get about 5-6 seconds visual before it disconnects and starts to reconnect again automatically. The cameras are Sricam PTZ AP005's .Is anyone able to advise as to whether my router needs more tweaking ,is my provider required to make changes at their end or do I need to use different software. The fact that I can connect ,view and operate the ptz functions briefly at least shows a connection. When I use them on my own home internet they work fine when remotely accessed .Could anyone cast any light on my predicament please.
Thanks in advance.

what ports are you using in the router and cameras? who is the cellular provider? are you using 3G or 4G? can you switch to 3G?
