hello,

i'm looking for a ip cam (any brand accepted) that can stream an http live video in full hd resolution.
not rtsp protocol but http.

my target is to build a webpage that incorporate this stream, playable in google chrome, so without activex plugins.

i have already done some test but without get exactly what i need with a DAHUA IPC-HDBW1320E-W:
- use the rtsp protocol via this link rtsp://ip-camera/cam/realmonitor?channel=[CHANNEL]&subtype=[0-1].. result, i can get the stream in full hd (with subtype 0) BUT i need activex plugin of vlc and the stream have a 2 seconds delay (i need with <1 delay)
- use an img with src http://ip-camera/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi.. result, i get the stream with <1 sec. delay BUT the resolution was at max 640*480 because the mjpg encodig is enabled only on substream and no way to get it on main stream.

i' have tried also with a old d-link ip cam dcs-932l via http://ip-camera/video/mjpg.cgi but i get always a stram in 480*320 with <1 sec delay.

so i need an ip cam that offer a http stream on the main channel directly, no server for encoding/deconding in the middle, with a minimum resolution of 1920*1080.

anyone can suggest some model?
best regards

I tried the usual mjpeg address with my more-modern Dahuas (one of which supports a 1920x1080 MJPEG sub stream). Unfortunately I just get a 404 Not Found response. Wireshark tells me the web interface uses RTSP when it streams mjpeg, and that of course means a web browser can't stream it without a plugin.

I was testing with both IPC-HDW5231R-Z and IPC-HFW4239T-ASE. That mjpeg URL doesn't work on either of the cams, even if I change subtype to 2 (as that is the sub stream index that has higher-resolution support). Either they removed the HTTP streaming ability, broke it, or changed the URL without telling anybody.
