Howdy,
With a new up to date 16 channel NVR (5mp ability)and 16 3mp camera's... Would you default to all camera's to 3mp resolution? or would you have a mix of 1080P and 3mp.

I am thinking you might as well make use of the 3mp resolution for everything since its there.

What do you think?
camera's all at 3mp?
camera's mixed 1080p and 3mp?
camera's all at 1080p?
please take the poll

There are many factors that have to be taken into account that can cause the nvr to sulk, the main one is the combined bandwidth of the cameras and how much the nvr can cope with

So the answer could be 1080p .. it could be a mix of 3M and 1080p, or even lower than 1080p plus some important cams at 3M, the 5mp ability is the least of factors

IMHO.. if using all 16, then you may get away with 10 x 3mp with the rest at 1080p, but the exact model of nvr would help.

Howdy,
My NVR is the Q-See 8116-3 unit.
I am not sure which Dahua it is DH-NVR4416-16P
DH-NVR5416-16P
DH-NVR7416-16P

At the moment, 12 cameras are at 3mp and working and recording fine.
