IPC-Color4K-T basic settings

Hello all,

I am new to security cameras and am having a bit of trouble just getting basic motion detection working on the IPC-Color4K-T I just purchased. Eventually I would like to play with all the fancy settings but for now I just want to get basic motion detection working and store them on the internal sd card. Anyone that has this or a similar camera have some settings to enable this? I did enable it in one of the menu's but no go so far. I was playing around with the demo of Blue Iris and can get motion detection there but not camera to sd card. Hopefully that makes sense. TIA
 
Everything for SD card has to be done within the camera GUI.

However you set up motion - either IVS or motion detection or smart motion detection, you then need to check the record box. I think under this new GUI you have to hit the + first to see those options.
 
Ok maybe I am expecting too much. I don't see anywhere to access the sd card / storage via the web gui, do I need to pull it and access via my pc to see the events?
 
That is correct - change the time if you want it longer.

Hit the home icon and then you can see a playback option. You do not need to take the SD card out.

LOL ok it's been working this whole time. I guess I was expecting something to pop up while I was in the gui. I will probably enable email and remote access for the mobile app once I have the detection dialed in. Thanks a bunch!
 
I noticed the vid clips have some playback before the event trigger which is good. Any idea if that can be increased?
