Hey guys

This version fixes some bugs, improves the product performance, and strengthens product security on the basis of the last version. It does not update the functions. For instructions on product functions, refer to previously published materials.

Does this update fix the IVS for channel 2?
And, the other problem which is that I can't get DahuaSunriseSunset to change the Day/Night of channel 2, only channel 1

Right now i checked only have PAL, IP ones pal or NTSC no difference.

Some observations with this firmware.
-IR settings are still lost on reboot.
-WDR intensity settings are different. I usually use a setting of 20 and the picture is much worse than previous firmware. Lowering to 10 helps.
-Video Detection settings are extremely sensitive now. Previous firmware was 70 sensitivity / 5 threshold with near zero false positives. New firmware even 15 sensitivity / 10 threshold throws a lot of false positives.
-Not able to view live video in chrome like with the other camera updates that cam out this year (still require IE plug-in)

May be best to hold off on this update.

the camera is unfortunately not that great.
On the one hand there are always reflections at night because of the glass dome and on the other hand the firmware is buggy.

IVS and Face Detection can only be used for one channel.

Starlight is also really bad compared to other Starlight Cams.
I would recommend a camera without a glass dome and with a larger sensor like the HDW5442TM-AS

Thank you for the info. IVS only working on one channel could be a deal breaker for me. Unfortunately the camera you recommend only faces one direction. I am trying to cover a corner in two directions.

In the right location it is a great little camera - I have two of them and happy with the results. I run BI so the IVS issue isn't a deal breaker for me, and motion detection still works on the other camera.

The phone software uses the dahua gDMSS software if you are not running any other platform like BI or a NVR.

I use blue iris also. My problem is I leave the site for as much as 4 months a year, and cannot keep computer on. So camera needs to have IVS working to send me notices.

Hi Andy,
Is there an updated firmware version for the IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M that no longer require a web plug in ?
I tried the version posted here and it still asks for a web plug in.
