I found that the IPC-HDW5842EMP-ASE-S3 supports 1TB microSD cards according to the website. However, I couldn’t find any information on this forum, when this model was launched?
Any useful information on this product is much appreciated, Thanks!

EMP versions are something totally new - google shows that they exists only on Oceania webpage and they have red stars - which are given only to fresh released products.

this is not first time that this region receive some strange models or versions, which don't exists outside...

comparing it to normal 5842TM-ASE - there is different (bigger) chassis... old one have strange mounting system...

From what I see all S-series 5442/5842 cams have 1TB in spec for SD storage (probably upgraded from 512GB in some firmware upgrade)..

The EM is the old housing of the fixed lens camera, smaller version of the T-ZE. Now the main markets not use the old EM housing.

Keep in mind, and I will see if I can find it, but people have reported issues trying to use larger than 256GB SD cards.

I seem to recall there was some issue with the size of the files in a larger SD card or something like that.

Maybe it has been fixed, but it is better to store video on a VMS and use SD card as a fail safe redundancy.
