My first ONVIF/IVS camera and what a learning curve it has been.
Most tutorials are for configuring camera is for a NVR and therefore confusing to me a BI user. Pieces/parts found through the forums were difficult to find and rather dated. In hopes of simplifying the process for other newbies here are the steps on how I configured my T5442TM which got it up and running.

Camera

IPV4

Wish I could leave Default Gateway blank, but am forced to enter an address. Besides the router's firewall blocking anything going to/from the camera, I'm keeping the device as isolated as possible.
IPV6

Likewise here, the DNS must be filled. Using local host rather than a real DNS server.
HTTP Port

Date/Time, DST, and Time Server

Enable ONVIF

Main and Sub-stream Video

Conditions


Disable all but Smart Plan and IVS





Click Schedule and enter a plan

Select IVS
Rule Config
Add Rules

The camera should now be a state which will link up with Blue Iris.
