Is there any reason to use h.264h over h.265?

I'm just curios as I just realized the default was set to h.264h. Is there any reason to use h.264h over h.265?

h.265 is not widely supported across all hardware yet, so having it active could cause it not to work when connected in certain circumstances depending on what you are connecting to. Thus, the safe standard universally (for the most part) supported 264 is defaulted.

Ok, that makes sense. There shouldn't be any problems running some cameras that support and use h.265 on the same nvr as others that only support and use h.264 though correct?
