Issue with a new update? What does it mean?

Update of C:\Program Files\Blue Iris 5\BlueIris.exe failed (32)--Make sure it is not in use.

Can anyone tell me what is going on? I just went to what is considered the latest critical stable update, and this is what is happening during the update. I have never had any issues with an update before. Thanks.

Depending on which version you are coming from, you may need to download the latest update and then shut down BI and then run the executable. It sounds like yours isn't stopping the program first.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking. I'm in the middle of trying that right now. Thanks for the input.

It seemed to work, although it did stick a little during installation and said it installed 6 of 7. It does show the new update in the update section now though. Weird. I've never had this happen before.
