Hi guys, i have 3 cams being fed into blue iris (latest version installed). Recently my footage (live and playback) has been causing a bit of an annoyance. I'm not sure what the correct terminology is but hopefully the attached picture should show it. If a moving object appears it's like there is a trail. Anyone ever experienced this all of a sudden?

  • Camera make/model(s) ?
  • Are the cameras connected to the server or via a NVR?
  • How does the BI server console's screen appear during this? Are there artifacts there as well?
EDIT: An excerpt from ==>> Troubleshooting Streaming Problems :

"Moving objects leaving trails (ghosting)
Depending on the severity of the effect, it could be caused by dropped frames (see above) or simply by your camera settings. Particularly if the effect only happens in low light, it could be the result of using too strong of WDR or 3D NR (noise reduction) in the camera's web interface."

They are WBOX cameras which have worked fine for about 4 years until now. They are connected into a PoE switch which goes directly to the client running BI.

BI console screen appears the same.
