Is it possible to use the iVMS-4500 app with Google Chromecast?

AFAIK, you can send the video itself via 'tab casting', but functions on the app itself will require dead-heading (remoting) into the server machine. I use Chrome Remote Desktop to fiddle with BlueIris and iVMS, for example. Chromebook household here, along with Chromecast Audio and video devices in different permutations.

Can the chromecast be setup so that when it is powered off, during a boot it will automatically start streaming the tab it was before?

I have a chromecast which I've found very little use for, so maybe temp I can set it up on my TV I want to view my cameras on in another room, I would like the chromecast to be able to be turned off by hand when the TV isn't on, and then when I turn the TV and chromecast on manually, the chromecast would autoboot and start streaming the cameras again.

The Chromecast normally remains booted and running the entire time. There is presently no default 'home' for CC, just a rotating screensaver until you send it a link or tab. But you need the sender (pc, tablet, phone) to initiate and send the tab to CC, and in the case of tabs, the sending device needs to keep that tab open to send it.

ivms-4500 doesn't seem to be support that, but Tiny Cam Pro viewer does.

Indeed, with a Nexus player (or the ADT-1 I have) you can install Tiny Cam Pro right on the unit. Works a treat.

Ok i have managed to get this to work by sharing(casting) my pc desktop using the iVMS-4200 software. Works a treat.

Shame there is no option to use the iVMS-4500 app.
