IVS rules do not generate Logs, Dahua IPC-HFW5231E-Z.
Motion detection generates logs.
The issue of not including this in the software or not configured something?
 
Make sure you have IVS selected in the Smart Plan area.
 
You're not alone. None of my 2MP or 4MP starlights log IVS events, All of my chinese market cameras log them. It's something I miss because it's occasionally useful for debugging.
 
My chinese cameras go back about 3 years. They're the 4431 series, running international firmware hacked to run on the chinese camera, not the chinese firmware hacked to english. Today it's crazy, however. Before I made the post last Sunday I looked thought the logs of my different model cameras to see which did and didn't log the IVS events. I was surprised then that the 2MP starlights weren't logging IVS because I thought they did. I looked again today to post a screen shot of an IVS log entry and they're not there for any of the cameras! Now I'm asking if there's something I do when looking at the UI that causes the IVS entries to appear or not appear, if it has something to do with the date, phase of the moon, etc., or if I'm just plain nuts. If I ever figure it out I'll post an update.
