Older guy here trying to do a DIY installation with not much background in electronics. Have been looking at getting either a Dahua or Hikvision NVR and just a couple of cams for starters and going on from there. I've been looking at posts over at The Network Camera Critic site, but the owner there, Carl, sadly passed away recently. Just found this forum today, so haven't really read much here yet. But, from what I've seen so far, it looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable people here who might be willing to teach a few things to a certified techno-dumbbell who's been wandering through the darkness hoping to see some lights turn on.
