Hi guys

I received a couple of DS-2CD3345-I's from China yesterday. I went home, got them up and running on H.265. Live view direct from the camera works fine via the web browser.

I later got the camera's setup with IMVS-4200, was able to live view etc but I soon after realised that this was not the PC NVR software I though I was setting up so I uninstalled it and then installed IMVS-4200 PCNVR.

While setting up PCNVR (1.03) I was not able to get live view or to work and if I try to record all that would playback in VLC Player would be a blank screen. The black screen recording also happened in IMVS-4200 but at least live view was working.

If I changed the stream over to H.264 all was ok.

Any ideas?

Would appreciate any advice.

I believe there's many compatibility issues with h265. Most people just stick to h264 but hopefully someone can help you.

Any chance of a snap from the camera to see the quality?
 
Have the same troubles. Looks like 4200 PCNVR 1.03 does not support H.265. And hikvision does not hurry to release a new version (maybe to people bought hardware NVR solutions)
You can use iVMS-4200 v2.4.0.4 client with integrated storage server (and stream server if you need), it can work with H.265 pretty well.
 
thanx for the clips. looks pretty good to me.
but you may need to flip the video left/right.
your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car. :-p
