Just installed a new WD Purple storage HD... any settings I need to check?

Brand new drive installed. What settings should I enable/disable for best performance and compatibility with BI files being stored on it? Thanks!

I turned off Disk Optimization and added Defender virus exclusions for the two folders I'm storing there for "New" and "Alerts". Anything else? Thanks!

I also turned off search/indexing. Not sure it makes much difference but not needed.

Defrag was the main thing that was causing mine to work unnecessarily. Was chunking like crazy. After turning that off it's completely quiet writing from BI.
