Hi
I want to setup security cameras around my house. maybe around 4. I was wondering if I can use a laptop which has both built-in HDD (to save videos) and SSD (for software installation) storage instead of using a tower as I want to save space for keyboard and mouse and monitor? Thanks

Some will say a laptop works fine. But you could run into problems as their chips are designed to favor regulating temperature over performance.

Make sure neither drive is a USB.

You can get a SFF and tuck it away anywhere and use remote desktop to access it from any computer and not need a keyboard, mouse, and monitor just for BI.
