I have some pictures of last night's lunar eclipse to share. They are nothing too fancy, just 60 second exposures taken automatically by an old Olympus SP-500UZ 6 megapixel camera controlled by USB. There is dirt on the glass in front of the camera which I apologize for. I couldn't do anything about it since it is at my parents' house hundreds of miles away.

There are a lot of images, so here is a zip file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/72769267/Other/20141008 Lunar Eclipse.zip

I attached a sample image for the lazy among us.

Very cool, thanks for sharing. For some reason my computer is saying the zip file is corrupt, anyone else having this issue?

I got the same thing with the attachment, so I replaced the attachment with a link to my dropbox. That might work better.

That worked. Very cool and nice pictures. Those horses were also pretty neat to see :D

The moon isn't visible until the end of the night, when the eclipse is nearly over, but if you look carefully or tweak the contrast you can see the moon in the center of the bright halo and see the earth's shadow cutting into it a bit.
