Like others I've come to the conclusion of installing an outdoor motion sensor rather than rely on camera software for triggering.
I purchased the LC-151 because I wanted the dual functionality of PIR and MW(microwave). I opted to not do the LC-171. I just received it and it isn't functioning how I would expect.
According to the manual;
Green LED for PIR detection
Yellow LED for Microwave detection
Red LED for alarm condition
When motion is sensed the green led comes on immediately followed with the yellow & red simultaneously and alarm is triggered.
I can never get the yellow to come on by itself. I covered up the PIR detector and can never get any LEDs to come on. Conversely, I covered the Microwave portion with a cast iron plate, provide motion to the PIR, and all 3 LEDs come on triggering an alarm.
It seems to me that the microwave portion is shorted out or not working correctly.
Can anyone confirm operation or am I missing something since this is my first dual motion sensor?
