Live Blue Iris video choppy

So when I watch a live camera in bi its choppy. But then all recordings play smooth and crystal clear.. any ideas?
 
How choppy? Did you enable "Limit decoding" in the camera properties > video tab? You wouldn't believe how many people turn that on without knowing the first thing about what it does.

Another likely possibility is that you have a live preview rate limit set in Blue Iris Options > Cameras tab.

It plays in frame step type .. I'll look at what you suggested thanks


Update:

I unchecked rate limit. Looks to have solved it!! Thanks man
