Looking for recommendations to improve Hikvision DS-7608I Q Image Quality

My email snapshots I receive via gmail are typically 13KB - 24KB and are substandard. I use Line Crossing and Intrustion to trigger the event. The event detection and email notifications work well, however the image quality is pretty low. I cannot find any reference in the user manual to increase the image size above 24KB. Any help would be appreciated

Cameras and NVR on the same POE switch and same LAN
