Looking for Solition

I have a 16 channel DS-7316HQHI-SH that is maxed out with 16 analog hikvision cameras. I need to add 4 ip cams with the ability to add more in the future. If possible I would like to integrate them together. But if not, then use the old cams with a new hybrid NVR/DVR. What options are there with the unavailability of Hikvision products, to do a crossover/hybrid system?

First, is the resolution and form factor of those 16 cams worth trying to "grandfather" into a new hybrid NVR?
Are you happy with their image, especially at night?
Lastly, why do you say Hikvision products are "unavailable?"
