Something others may not tell you, Just because the Name is different then Dahua you might want to search your area to find out if you are able to use a OEM Dahua because from what I was told. OEM or not it is a Dahua branded device with a Mask.. So my understanding is that Empiretec or Amcrest or others that have Dahua hardware without a Dahua logo. I mean to be fair Amcrest not only has Amcrest logo on the camera, but in the FW and even own the Mac Addresses the cameras are connected to. Not all OEMs even went as far to own their own brand. But even Amcrest states may not be NDAA approved on the products pages.. This way the Schools, GOV and others that are part of the ban will look for other hardware.. Are you a Personal Home owner in USA? If so then why are you worried about NDAA? Different Country different rules this I understand, Then you might want to look to see if
Uniview has any that fit your needs.. To be honest there is not much out there better then Dahua or a Dahua OEM provider and some are much better then others...
Next I have some hardware that is said to be NDAA and to be honest it is a few steps down to any of my Dahua/or OEM and Hikvision/or OEM hardware.. Security issues and support is about as bad as Hikvision OEM support? I don't like making a call/email to the OEM brands to get a reply we don't sell to the General Public contact your reseller.. What kind of support is that.. Or being told that someone don't have a feature that you know it has and yet the person on the other end of the phone or email has a title of Product Specialist.. WTF...
There are list out there that show who are an OEM of Dahua or Hikvision, IF Dahua is banned then again from what I was told so are the OEM's.. The list are not 100% complete as some are not listed but the hardware is clearly Dahua and doing a mac search most times for your new product is all that is needed to see it belongs to Dahua..
