I purchased the newest Lorex 4K system late last year. I have 22 4K cameras running. The NVR has been very buggy and just doesn’t work well. I’ve spent countless hours on tech support with their company and no help.
I would like to switch to a PC Based system but still use the lorex cameras. I’ve gone through the wiki and some posts but still looking for some help or suggestions. I would prefer to record in 265, if possible.
Looks like I would need an Intel i7 with an on-board graphics card. 16 to 32 GB of ram. I have two WD Purple drives for the video, so maybe a 256gb solid state for the OS. Any suggested pre built systems or what specific parts and power supply? I haven’t built a PC since 2004 and been using macs since. The current setup has a 16 camera POE switch, can I use that and purchase a second 16 camera switch to have up to 32 cameras?
