I recently bought a 2 pack of LA View LV-PD5V108-VF. Its a 1.3mp manual varifocal HIK.

I was expecting the cameras to plug and play with my nvr but not so much.

When logged into the camera directly from PC, its obviously a HIK camera. I tried the activation via NVR, with no luck and I tried first activating one directly connected to my computer. When connected to my computer with a static IP I can get in to the cameras and see live stream. When I attach camera to the NVR, I get one of two errors on the camera management screen. Either network abnormal or camera does not exist.

Short of manually adding the camera by settings its IP to whatever the NVR uses and then configuring the nvr to match, are there any options in the camera that I may be missing that enables plug and play?

Thanks!

Just to update. I tried resetting the camera with the reset button, connected it to nvr, said ip camera does not exist, would not let me activate

Connected to PC, activated, didnt change any settings, then attached to NVR, camera does not exist.

Reboot NVR now it says network abnormal. Might give manual network setup a shot but was hoping for plug and play.

NVR running 3.3.2

Camera running 5.4.3

Dont want to update NVR. Im running a chinese HIK and a dahua on it. Its behind a VPN

Success!
The NVR and camera username and passwords needed to match. I had to change the nvr password to a stronger one and make it match the cameras. I left it on plug and play and its working great including virtual host. Interesting.
