I've got a couple of DS-2CD2546G2 cameras which I'm considering upgrading to the 7G2 model, for the big sensor/low-light upgrade from 1/3" to 1/1.8".
The only disadvantages I can see are a) the 7G2 is a bit taller so marginally less attractive and b) the reduced depth of field which I can live with given where they are.
I've had a look at some of the user manuals online but can't figure out if the mounting plates are the same between the models i.e. can I just leave the existing plate screwed to the ceiling, and switch the units around?
