Happened a while ago but never posted. Watch the guy throw the beer can when he starts walking back in the direction of the car, around 1:10. He didn't even want to pick it up, his girlfriend had to go pick it up and begged me not to call the police (Why?) and said it was their fathers car.

I told them to swap seats in the car, they did

Of course I did call the police and reported DUI, not that they even responded. I told them if they park around here again, I'd start ripping off their plate. They have not been around since

I think the amount of people throwing trash out here seems to be going down, I think its a small group of people that are repeat offenders, and they all know to not come back!

That looked like Ralphie from "Equalizer 2", probably celebrating making security guard.

Maybe I need to upgrade my front cameras to ones with Mic's

Hell, I could get a handheld mic and start interviewing them like Mike Hanson from Dateline

That seemed to be a long conversation. What did they say when you approached them? Did they make an excuse for littering/driving while drinking?

First he denied it, I told him I had him on video and he better go pick it up, and that I'll be calling the cops for DUI

He then said that this helps the poor people because they can cash in the can for the 5c (Like, REALLY???) which you can't even do around here. I told him it was no excuse and started dialing HPD, the girlfriend pleaded for me not to call the cops and said it was her dads car, and I said if it gets picked up I might not, she shouted at him and told him to pick it up. He then called me a Rich Asshole and pointed to my house (Which doesn't even look that nice, you can tell the area) and refused. So I started dialing again and she went and picked it up. I told him he was a piece of crap for making his girlfriend go pick up his trash. I was waiting for someone on the line from HPD and told him to apologize, which he would not. Him and his girlfriend were not arguing because she DESPERATELY didn't want HPD involved. Eventually he made a half ass apology and they left

Just trash people. Everyone with a paper plate around here is.

Just buy a cheap mic and add it to the LPR cam on the tree so we get to hear it ALL lol.

I had to take if off the tree because of ants, maybe when I get a new driveway I install some cameras on the front trees with Mics for a better show

My theory, which is wholly unsubstantiated: She told him on the drive after opening that beer that there was no way. Told him to get the F out if he had to have his beer. So he did .. just long enough to drink and toss. The temp plate is because he wrecked the last POS vehicle, and may have a DUI on record already. So she ran interference and in the end pick up the can, in an effort to keep him, her baby Daddy, out of jail.

Why do so many folks with temp tags run down your street?

Do you mind checking for past appearances of that tag as well? I'm curious now, if this guy is from the same auto shop that the last idiots were likely coming from.

What a turd...:poop:
But, BOLO for lard-belly to come back at night like a cockroach and maybe spray paint your car 'cause you dissed him in front of his baby mama. :blankstare:

Could very well be the case! This area has like 50% temp tags, its an epidemic over here. I can't make out if its the same auto shop, but there are around a million "Auto shops" around here that will give you a temp tag

I'll search the history in a moment, but I recall they come around often

Gen Z........

Age isn't the common theme with all these people, I've seen young, middle aged, old, you name it. There is a common theme, but I'll leave it unsaid

What a turd...:poop:

Thankfully I setup Deepstack with push notifications, and they would need to hop an 8ft steel gate and break into a garage to get to my vehicles, if they tried I'm not sure they would be able to leave

what's that place in front of your home, where all this keeps occurring, apartment complex looks like?

Across is townhomes that are not the problem, down the road is trashy apartments, and the cockroaches crawl out of there and then come to the first "nice" place in the street that isn't bumper to bumper trash cars. Of course they don't want to sit outside their dump of a place

So then, they proceed to make every other place they infest a dump too

Makes sense, lived in apartments for a few years, hated every single aspect of it. Incidents almost on the daily, luckily I was able to purchase home before hitting my 30s best decision I ever did.

I'd like a seperate part of town where renters are illegal, it's seemingly ALWAYS renters that are causing problems

What's the deal with these 'temp tags'? Are they a temporary registration plate for a car or is it a short term road tax thing?

In Ireland and the UK, when a vehicle is first "registered" is receives a registration ID that is put on our massive registration plates and registered with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. That registration stays with the vehicle untill its scrapped or a "change of registration" form is filled in (i.e. if you want to put a personalised registration plate on the car) which in turn updates the DVLA database (in the UK). We must pay road tax (called Motor Tax now coz bugger all of it actually goes into maintaining the roads) to drive it on the road leagally. You cant buy road tax without a valid insurance policy linked to the vehicle registration. If you want to keep your car off the road for any extended amount of time, you can declare it off the road and therefore dont have to pay tax.

The only form of registration that i can think of where it would be used on the vehicle in a temp manner would be a "trade plate" in the UK. This is usually a registration plate which has a red font in UK and a green background in Ireland and is reserved for motor dealers, trailer manufactures etc. But they are usually just hung over the rear windscreen wiper or dumped on the dashboard of the front windscreen. This is to stop them having to tax and insure each individual car but the car still keeps its original registration.

Are car registration numbers fluid in Texas? That seems like a massive loophole that can alow scum like the beer can tosser from avoiding a raft of convictions if they can get a shady dealer to issue a temp tag every so often.

Not saying one is better than another BTW, just genuinely curious.

It varies from state to state here in the U.S. In Connecticut to register a vehicle that was bought in another state, it must be taken to a licensed inspection station to verify that the VIN on the paperwork is the actual VIN of the vehicle. The vehicle may also need to undergo an emissions inspection or test. The state issues temporary plates for the purpose of driving the vehicle to the place of inspection.
