WOW the backend of that truck really moved.

Can't tell with all the trees but I am assuming the motorcycle had the right of way?
Speed limit is 35Mph and sounded like the bike was accelerating so not sure. Word is that the biker took off before police got there. Maybe under the influence?

I've about decided the second cause of injury and death in Lubbock, TX -- after people who know each other shooting each other -- are motorcyclists becoming speed bumps.

Add in no insurance, no motorcycle license, and outstanding arrest warrants and I think we've got the runner covered. :poop:

Rarely in an MVA does a vehicle turning left without a stop light have the right of way. However, in this case it looks to me like the truck was mostly through the intersection and the speeding motorcycle failed to yield to a vehicle in the intersection. An insurance company would likely assign some blame to both parties.

That looks like quite the painful collision, I hope the motorcyclist survived without being paralyzed. I witnessed someone I knew brake their neck in a bad motorcycle accident years ago. Every once in a while it still plays on a loop in my head.

True, but because of the tree I didn't know if there was a light that could have given a right of way to one versus the other.

But looking at it again, I can see a stop sign, so likely a light isn't there.

Ouch, I felt that all the way over here!
