Hey Everyone, this is my first post so hopefully it's not too long :)

I'm currently working with my HOA to setup the following IP camera conversion. We're currently on VERY old cameras and want to upgrade. We have 3 locations currently
  • Entrance Gate
    • License plate reader
    • 3-5 cameras
    • A large TV for the guards to watch all of the other cameras
    • Currently has 30/5mbps business internet, but upgrading to 250mbps isn't all that much more $$, so we'll do that soon.
    • This is currently using a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro and has a VPN tunnel to the Pool
  • Community Dock
    • Connects to the pool's network via an Ubiquiti line of sight device (around 1.2 miles from the pool). This very well might need upgrading to a 5ghz system, we're currently on 900mhz due to trees but we can budget to trim those.
    • Will use around 5-7 cameras, including one that needs to be controllable to shift/zoom
    • In a perfect world, we would have 1 camera stream to our website so residents can see tides and how busy the dock is, limited RTSP options.
  • Pool
    • We need around 10-15 cameras covering the pool, tennis courts, and kids playground
    • This is currently using a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro and has a VPN tunnel to the Guard Gate
    • Currently has 150/30mbps internet.

A few considerations
  • I'm slightly hesitant to recommend Ubiquiti simply because of all their supply chain issues. HOWEVER it would be perfect to record locally and then be able to be accessed from the guard gate.
  • For the VPN tunnel, we only have 30mbps upstream at the pool, which includes the dock. I'm not sure if that could handle 20-25 cameras streaming back to the gate if all the recording was there. We're on business internet and cannot drop to residential due to the pool being zoned commercial, so upping the speed is very expensive for a HOA on a tight budget.
  • We do pay a 3rd party company for day to day support, so keeping things as easy as possible keeps that cost down. This would be a huge plus to Ubiquiti.

Knowing this, would there be any combination of a NVR/Blue Iris Servers that would work? Other than product availability any major downside to Ubiquiti (I use it for my 4 home cameras and love it)?
