Hello all, I'm trying to spec out a decent, compact sized system that can handle my current 6 cameras and CodeAI event processing with 31 days retention for loop recording of the SUbstream (main stream when triggered)
I'm currently running blue iris within a VMware VM which is very CPU intensive for both the processing of the 4k cameras and there usually a 4-5 sec delay on AI processing.
Id like to move this to a fairly small system, around the size of a 2 bay Synology NAS as rack space is limited right now.
My current assumption is that I would need the storage drive to be a 2tb+ 3.5" WD purple or Skyhawk for endurance reasons as well as to meet my retention criteria.
Can anyone recommend something thats fairly compact which has worked well for them? So far it's been looking like getting something like a NUC and then having the 3.5" hdd connected via eSATA
