I've purchased a set of DS-2CD2032-I for a home security setup (firmware V5.2.5 build 141201, hacked Chinese version).
I am running a home server with Windows 2008 SBS (i.e. on a domain), with a 4Gb harddrive that I use for multiple purposes. On this, I set up a shared directory: f:\security\camera01 etc... with camera01 being shard (for some reason, the NAS won't connect at the f:\security level). I've connected using SMB, as there is no password option on NFS.
I can "format" the folder fine, and it fills up with the file structure. However, when I next look, it is uninitialised again.
I'd also like to assign a quota to the folders, as I don't want them to eat up all of my 4Gb drive, but can't see how to do this, short of creating a dedicated partition.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Richard
