I bought this under recommendation of others on this site, but I am a bit confused on some settings. As best I can figure the only way to adjust settings on the camera directly is through its local IP right? I noticed that other have the 5442 camera and they have the option of 720p on substream_2 of FPS of 5 or more, some say 15 fps. Mine only gives me options of 1,2,3,4. What gives? I am so confused... substream_1 you cant choose a resolution of anything near 720p. Can someone help me try and work this out?

Yes, you make all changes to the camera in the camera GUI by opening up Internet Explorer (not Edge, not Chrome with the IE add-on, but plain ole Explorer that is baked into Windows 10 - simply type in Explorer in the search and it will come up) and typing in the IP address of the camera.

These things are browser sensitive and some features will not be present in some browsers.

Substream 1 is a lower resolution. Substream 2 offers I think 720 and 1080. But each substream offers different resolutions.

I have windows 11, no option for explorer.... i know that the resolutions would be smaller but the highest fps for 720 is 4fps? Can that be right?

No, you can go higher. I have several of this camera. It is probably browser related.

Try Pale Moon - many of us have had success with that.

holy sh$t,, just grabbed the work laptop, all kinds of options magically appeared. What we going to do now that IE is pretty much deprecated?

I told you it was browser related!

Keep an old laptop around not hooked to the internet so you can keep Explorer LOL.

One of these days they will actually push out the update to not be browser dependent!

That is strange, mine shows up to 30FPS.

I guess try a factory reset. Sometimes the firmware gets buggy or messed up when updates are applied, either by you or by Andy before he ships it.
