Need Help – Unable to Reset Dahua NVR Password - dhi nvr4108 8p 4ks2

Hello everyone,


I recently bought a used Dahua NVR, but I don’t know the administrator password.
I’ve already tried to reset it manually using the reset button on the motherboard (holding it down while the device is powered on), but it didn’t work.


I also don’t have access to the email address that was originally associated with the device, so I can’t use the password recovery option.


Are there any other ways to reset the password or regain access to the NVR?
Also, would updating the firmware reset the password?

Something to try. With unit powered on press hold reset button 15 seconds, remove power while holding reset button, after 15 seconds removing power still holding reset button restore power again while holding reset button.

However before any of all that time holding button need to confirm that your reset button is complete. If your machine is missing c39 that is next to the reset button. With it missing the nvr can't be reset with button.

So if your machine does have c39. Power on machine, hold reset button 15 seconds and the rest as stated before all while holding reset button. Only let go of button once power is restored and after hearing the beep.. if it reset it will load screen shortly after with setup screen.
