Need help to change default password on ipc-hfw1431sp

Hello everyone,

I’m stuck trying to find the password to change IP address to be within range.

Camera can be seen in configtool, Where I can see cam IP address. I type in IP address in explorer and no go. I click on explorer logo in configtool for camera and I then can see dahua menu to enter user/password
I’ve tried admin/admin
Admin/ 123456
Admin/password
888888/888888
666666/666666
A few others and no go.

What I’m I missing or need to do from here?

In the Dahua Toolbox, there is a new version of ConfigTool in which (at the left menu) you can choose: password recover/reset. Depending on your camera, you might have a good chance there. Otherwise you could try to factory reset the cam (open it up, find the reset hole, hold it for 30sec after connecting power to it). It should come back with the default password.

I had to open camera up and find tiny button, and presto, up and running.

I did try the configtool before I opened it up and I did see option to reset password, restore, etc. neither method was allowing me too continue. But anyway it’s working
