NetTime Question

A few days ago I got all our cameras to time sync to NetTime. However, I'm not clear how NetTime is supposed to work with the computer it's installed on. When I run "w32tm /query /status" at the cmd prompt it shows the Windows Time Service is still accessing time.windows.com for time syncs. Seems a little redundant to have both NetTime and the host computer accessing a remote NPT. Is there a way to get the host computer to access NetTime for its time sync? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I've read through that page a few times over the last couple of days. No doubt I'm missing something obvious. It does mention turning off the Windows Time Service. I ran "net stop w32time" a few times. Normally I check when the computer performed its last time sync using "w32tm /query /status". With the time service off this cmd doesn't work (time service is off). I can clearly see the security cameras syncing with NetTime, but I see no indication the host computer is syncing with NetTime.

Newb question: How can/does the host computer time sync with NetTime with the Windows Time Service turned off?
