Network Design with VISIO

Does anyone have any experience using the MS VISIO software? It seems like it could be a good way to document all the network particulars? If nothing else?

We use it for fiber count identifications and hub layouts. Honestly it's great, but for consumer use you can find a free flow chart type software to accomplish basic network architecture layouts.
