Seems like the fantastic Full color, no led cam with large aperture F1.0 IPC-HDBW5442R-ASE-NI is beeing replaced by the IPC-HDBW5449R-ASE-NI
Datasheets are exactly the same. Is there anyone who knows what the difference is?
Product page here.

Cheers, Marcus

It's the same cam... In EU region this variant (F1.0, no LED, Full color function) it's called 5449 (not 5442 like in others regions)...

Sure? Andy told me it's not the same chip and that the 5442 is better for full color...

The 5442 and 5449 use the same firmware - so it use the same SOC (cpu chip)...
Spec are identical for optics, ram/rom and sensor size/type/brightness...

5449 is only described on Dahua EU sites, other use 5442...
The same situation are with 3849/3549/3249...

it's looks that Dahua simply changing last digit (image processing type) from 2 to 9 for F1.0 Full Color models on some markets...

Different model numbers (and event different names for line/function names - like WizMind/WizSense vs PRO AI/Lite AI) for the same products on different markets are normal situation for Dahua and HIK... Happened many times before...
