Basically I joined because I'm looking for a new IP based security system to replace the old DVR setup that has died and is discontinued. Strongly looking at Blue Iris and a set of POE cameras, looking to figure out decent cameras for my needs.

Thanks,

Jeff

IP cameras are a given, analog is a waste of money. BI vs NVR really depends on if you like to tinker or not, an NVR will be easier to set up and just let run, BI will give you a lot more control and customization. There are pros and cons of each. I've never owned an NVR and been running BI for a few years with no issues, so there is that.
