figured I'd sign up and gain a little more access.
I've been looking for ip cams and just happened to come across this site.
Been looking for cams that have a clear picture because what's the point if you can't see what your camera is pointed at?
I plan on using blue iris on a server.
I'd like to start with just one cam and get everything worked out
Hope to get some pointers and suggestions here
Thanks

T3ECH Hungy,

Welcome to the forum!

what's the point if you can't see what your camera is pointed at?
Especially at night!

"Clear pictures" Check for Starlight (Dahua). They're tops right now.
Dahua 2MP Starlight Lineup

Hope to get some pointers and suggestions here
As you can imagine, lotsa newbies ask similar questions and request guidance. I know, I did.
And my overly general newbie questions didn't generate a lot of response.
T3ECH, newbie questions come in all the time. The knowledgeable folks here grow weary of answering the same, same questions over, and over.

Your questions have answers already posted here. There's a wealth of info, waiting for you. The trick is to find it.
Do searches here. Then ask specific & detailed questions.
My favorite method is Google, and I restrict the hits to this site (to filter out sites selling stuff). The last term in the google search terms is critical:

newbie, advice, camera, site:ipcamtalk.com
noob, advice, site:ipcamtalk.com
new, system, guidance, site:ipcamtalk.com

Starting out?
one camera, start out, site:ipcamtalk.com
eg:
Camera Recommendations

Again, welcome.
I don't mean to be harsh. After research, your specific questions will get awesome answers.
