Hello to all,

just an (industrial) electrician logging on, with fairly some PLC/domotics experience but very limited hands-on camera knowledge.
Giving it a try for myself and my parents, but it appears camera's are even more finicky than industrial equipment...

Looking to get some guidance here.

There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you memorize the number 192.168.x.x it gets easier. Power over Ethernet has made cabling pretty simple. Unless you've in a hurry, spend some time reading and thinking and reviewing product specs. You'll find it pretty interesting/entertaining, I bet.
