Hello, I need to keep footage for about 12 cameras @ 1080p (15fps, H.265) for 90 days due to insurance purposes.
I have calculated that it will be about 25-35 terabytes. I have tried all the calculators I can find and this keeps coming up as the estimated storage I need. Can someone please check my math on this?
Also, I have read that BI has its database and initial recordings on the main OS drive before they get transferred / archived onto a different storage hard drive or array. If this is the case, is there any way that it can record natively to the storage array? Otherwise, I'm going to have to get a pretty big SSD in order to hold one day's worth of recordings from 12 cameras before transferring it over to the big storage array. Or, I can break the recordings up into chunks of hours instead of daily, but I don't want to do that. What options would I have here?
