I aimed it at my pellet grill control panel while I had a brisket going last night to monitor grill temp and meat probe temp...

...at midnight after an hour in the smoker grill...




the meat when I checked it about 4:30am...

We bought a whole pig a while back. Finally got around to smoking the 15lb shoulder this past weekend. Put it on @ about 11p, it took 18 hours. Love my pellet smoker

It's more about the meat probe than the grill temp.

Sure is! Totally worth it when you have a $50-$60 piece of brisket in the pit. You sure as hell don't want to have an auger jam or similar that results on the smoker going out.

It ain’t smoked if it isn’t in a wood or charcoal smoker. Love my Weber Smokey Mountain.
