This is probably a dumb question but I have installed a NV41AI-8P-4K NVR and am setting it up.
It seems to record but on the search screen there is no playback bar. see image
I have read some manuals but maybe I am missing something.
Thanks
Craig

Browser issue.

Edge will get you MOST of the controls back, but you'll need Edge in IE mode to get them all

Ok Next ? I didn't change any settings to start and got the sharp image below but just the green recording with no motion detection. So I went to the tutoriol I found here and tried to setup the event trigger.
Now I get the events but the picture has turned blurry.

My interface the one shown was different than the one shown in the tutorial so I just started enabling things (Bad idea).
I went back and unenabled what I though I had changed.

I could use some help, Thnx

If you want that to capture plates, you need to optically zoom in more.

You also need to get the camera off default/auto settings. Cloudy day and the shutter speed dropped to slow to catch a plate.

Make it manual 1/2000 shutter or try a range of like 0-1.0ms

Thats the camera interface. Where you set everything EXCEPT recording. Recording is set and done on the NVR.

Both images are identical in quality. The truck is moving much faster than the car was, and/OR you increased DNR or enabled WDR which creates motion blur.

Are you trying to optimize that view/camera for plates? If so, other things will suffer. FOV as @wittaj mentions will need to get smaller so you can zoom in more. At night, you will lose all visual refernce except for the plate itself.

Trying to optimize plates for helping identify vandals, I have the audacity to complain about year round illegal fireworks that wake me up so retribution comes my way.

Thank you for the help so far.
This is the last capture day and night
