Noob with some questions

Hi, I'm interested in setting up some cameras at my home. I've read most of the wiki and explored with site. I'm debating between BI and a server vs NVR. Has anyone used the IPCT-604(4K)-4P in the IPCam store? Do you any of the cameras in the store work with it? Are you able to do the substream/low res for 24/7 recording and switch to mainstream/high res for motion? I guess I'm trying to find a happy medium between crappy WIFI cameras and getting overwhelmed with options etc with BI. Any thoughts you have are appreciated. THanks

Use search in the upper right corner, there are several threads that discuss the pros/cons of NVR vs BI.
For one, I think you would be disappointed quickly with only a 4ch NVR, 4 cams is barely a start.
