NVR and DMSS?

I have an Empiretech NVR 8ch 5 EL AI and Dahua camera IPC-T5442T-ZE that I am working on setting up correctly.
On my android phone DMSS app I can see the live view but the recorded events don't play. See sceenshot.
Does the NVR need be be configured somehow for DMSS to work?

Using DMSS on the phone I can see the live view but when i try to playback any IVS triggered recordings it doesn't work.
If I go to the NVR through a browser I can see live view and playback but the aspect ratio is way off.
Any ideas on how to see the playback videos?

Sorry but I don't really understand what you mean. Is there s way to get a thread in the Dahua section to show up in the NVR section?

Meaning that regardless of where you put the post, it will show up in someone's home feed. I see both of your posts about the same thing when I go to the home screen.




This is a volunteer forum and people's time is valuable, and what usually happens is someone (say bigredfish in this example) jumps on and answers/asks a question in your first post and then a day later when bigredfish comes back he ends up responding to your 2nd post with the same response as he provided in your first post because he didn't realize you posted it twice.

Plus bigredfish who was responding in your first post is the unofficial Dahua NVR guru here.

From your other thread you said logging into the NVR you had no problem with live video or playback.
If so, this is not an NVR issue.

Ok I understand. I was thinking that different people would be reading the different subject areas. I won't do that again.
