NVR not storing more than 15 days of video

I have a ED9732H5NV-16P NVR with 24 IP cameras attached and 4 HDs, each having 6GBs for a total of 24s storage space. I could never get it to retain more than 15 days worth of recordings so I added more drives. However even with 42GBs total storage it won't budge. Nothing retained over 15 days. Any ideas what to check?

Need more info:

Bitrate
resolution of cameras
continuous or motion recording
VBR or CBR
frame rate
basically the settings you have for the cameras as these dictate how much storage is needed and used.

Sounds like a config problem so you need to go through the settings for both the drives and how that storage is configured.
